VISUAL IDENTITY: THE DUKE & DAGGER
The Duke & Dagger was a contemporary interpretation of a British-style pub in Menomonie, Wisconsin. The identity was designed for the pub's launch in 2016, and presents a traditional coat of arms and vintage-inspired typography. The coat of arms is crowned by a ducal coronet and impaled by two daggers, and the shield is quartered depicting arms for England, Ireland, Scotland, and France, representing the main inspiration for food and drink sold. The coat of arms itself is a pastiche; visual elements are compiled from a variety of digitized antique sources.
