UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE | SELECTED PROJECTS
Founded in 1866, the University of New Hampshire is an R1 university with an enrollment of over 16,000 located in Durham, NH. It is a land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant institution, and is the flagship public university of New Hampshire. I have worked on projects for UNH since 1999, initially as an undergraduate student and staff designer for the Student Press organization, and later through client work at Brown & Company Design, and as an independent contract designer with the Department of Music. |

Summer Youth Music School rebranding The Summer Youth Music School (SYMS) at the University of New Hampshire is an academic summer camp for music, founded in 1941. Work encompassed identity development and graphic design for a fully branded advertising and promotional campaign. The new SYMS mark is tied to the UNH logo (designed by Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv) typographically and chromatically. The two marks are designed to be displayed together if needed. The typographic treatment for SYMS and the five horizontal lines evoke stylistic elements of traditional sheet music. This branding has been in continuous use since 2015.

UNH Marching Band | Alumni Band T-shirt design The front of the shirt features the band's uniforms over the years, starting with the old ROTC band uniforms from the early 20th century, and progressing through to today (I once donned the white-jacketed uniform, second from right). The UNH athletics typography recedes into the background like yard lines on a football field. The back of the shirt uses the final lyric from the school's fight song. This shirt has been in regular use since 2011.
